Day 1: Arrivals in Marrakech

Meet & greet your fellow travelers at the Marrakech accommodation, a riad - Arabic for “guesthouse” featuring the best of Moorish architecture. Adjust your inner clock to Moroccan time and start to unwind with a glass of wine or some mint tea. We’ll kick things off with an officially meet & greet around 4pm, followed by a mellow yoga practice to unwind from traveling, and a home-cooked dinner so you can be ready for The Red City on Day 2!

Meals included: Dinner

Day 2: History & Souks in The Red City

Start your day an energizing twist on Surya Namaskar and a traditional Moroccan breakfast. Around 9:45am, we’ll head out with our local guide to discovery the history of Marrakech, including site visits to an ancient palace, Koranic school, spice market, and the many artisan markets within the old Medina. We’ll include a break for lunch & then wander into the souks to shop for handmade treasures. Comfortable shoes are must today! After some rest time, we’ll reconvene for a fun dinner, featuring live entertainment in an opulent setting!

Meals included: Breakfast & Dinner

Sleep in a little - no yoga this morning. After breakfast, you’ll head to one of Marrakech’s best cooking schools, where you’ll learn how to prepare some of the most traditional dishes the country has to offer. After eating what you make for lunch, you’re invited to a Moroccan hammam - where you’ll enjoy a steam bath, full body scrub and relaxing massage. The evening will be yours to do as you wish. We’ll recommend a few of Marrakech’s best restaurants where you can catch an amazing dinner before we tuck in for the night.

Day 3: Hammam & Moroccan Cooking

Day 4: Rock the Kasbah & the Draa River Valley

Rise & shine - we’re going on a road trip! Prepare for a 9am departure as we head south to re-trace the steps of the ancient trans-Saharan trade routes. Today’s drive has many stops, including a site visit to a centuries-old Kasbah & an overnight stay in the palm oasis of the Draa River Valley. Agdz awaits and so does a groovy sunset practice overlooking the magnificent Djbel Kissane mountains!

Day 5: Off-road to Erg Chegaga

Our journey continues South, as we drive beyond the city of Zagora to the last village on the map, M’hamid el Ghizlane - and literally the “end of the road”. We’ll do some off-road driving through the dunes & rocky surface to get to our destination for the next two nights - our nomad camp in Erg Chegaga - the highest dunes of the Moroccan Sahara! After you’ve had some time to unwind and unpack, we’ll gather for yoga just before sunset - the perfect time to close out the day with a silent meditation on the dunes. Dinner & campfire await!

Day 6: Glamping, Dunes & Nomads in the Sahara

Wake up for the sunrise sun salutations if you’re an early bird! We’ll have breakfast together and the head out to visit a nomad family, where you’ll learn about their culture and ways of living “off grid”. You’ll also have the chance to see how nomads make bread in a “sand oven”. After lunch, we’ll have some free time before getting ready to ride camels into the sunset & play on the dunes (hello, sandboarding!). End the day around the campfire with our local camp staff for some singing, dancing, and maybe sleep under the stars!

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today we say goodbye to our desert camp and head back to the main road, where we’ll drive to our next destination - Ouarzazate & the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. There will be a few stops along the way to keep your curiosities up, and most importantly, a stunning boutique accommodation waiting for you featuring a grounding yoga practice, hot showers and comfy beds.

Day 7: Moroccan Rugs & the “Hollywood” of Africa

After our last yoga practice as a group & a tasty breakfast, we’ll start making our way back to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again.
